Did you see today’s news about sunscreens? If you missed the story you can find it here.
This is an important one especially for all my sun worshippers out there.
Consumer Reports released their list of top sunscreens today and their top pick is the La Roche Posay Anthelios Melt-In Sunscreen Milk SPF 60, which retails for $36. The second pick is the Trader Joe’s brand Spray SPF 50+ which costs $6. Finally, Consumer Report’s third choice is the Equate Sport Lotion SPF 50, which retails for $5.
I must say, I was surprised by this list. I swear by Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 30 and thought it would have been in the top three. Oh well, that just means I’ll have to give a few of the others a try and judge for myself.
I’ve worn sunscreen everyday since my first trip to Arizona almost 20 years ago. Make-up or no make-up, I always start the day with clean face followed by a healthy application of sunscreen. Some folks think darker skin is immune to sun damage, but that’s not true. Everyone is susceptible to some level of skin damage. If you’re not already using sunscreen, I recommend you start. It’s never too early to start protecting the beauty God gave you.
